This project was established in order to favour the development and circulation of educational and formative paths, best practices and projects based on sustainable developement guidelines, aiming to become one of the most reliable and trustworthy occasions to support sustainability principles and chime for a lifestyle change.
Since its first edition IES Sustainability has received UNESCO’s Italian Committee acknowledgement for planning and organizing an initiative that respects the aims proposed by the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014).

The initiative was thought for the new generations, for those who are responsible for school and youth policies, for educational and formation activities, and it consists of a series of cultural meetings, expositive paths and labs divided into four areas: Conoscere sostenibile (a Sustainable Knowledge), Dialogare sostenibile (a Sustainable Dialogue), Fare Sostenibile (Sustainable Actions) and Comunicare Sostenibile (a Sustainable Communication).
