I edition: Abano Terme (PD), October 4th – 6th 2013

The outcome of the first edition of the “Triveneto agricultural schools Meeting” was a success. It took place from October 4th to the 6th 2013 in Abano Terme, organized in the exterior surroundings of Villa Bassi, in the horse-center adjoining the villa and in the municipal theatre. Thousands of young students coming from the agricultural schools of all over Triveneto got engaged in competitions, exhibitions, shows and debates.
A net of Agricultural schools was established in 2004, and since then it gathered the agreement and collected the following adhesion of professional and technical institutes located in Veneto. In 2008 the first Agricultural Institute of Friuli (Istituto Tecnico Agrario di Gradisca di Isonzo) joined the net, soon followed by a couple of schools belonging to the same region, and in 2011 by the unique agrarian school situated in Trento administrative province.
Since September 2012 the association is named “Rete degli Istituti superiori agrarie e forestali del Triveneto” (Net of agricultural and environmental schools and institutes of Triveneto). It is currently composed by 15 institutes of the Veneto region, 4 of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s and one from Trentino’s frequented by more than 8000 students.
During these years the Net has promoted different meetings and contests among students, educational moments for the teachers so as institutional interventions in order to further and encourage the activities of the schools themselves. Main purpose of the meeting is to comprise in a unique event per year a series of initiatives, trying to involve the agricultural institutes, the students and their families so as the institutions and the trade associations.
